Curriculum Review
Curriculum Review Hui - 8th September
Kia ora koutou katoa
I want to thank our community for coming out in force on a bitterly cold and wet evening to attend our curriculum review meeting last night. What a great turn out from friends and whanau. The atmosphere was very positive as we all worked together to better understand the curriculum vision, and to help identify a Graduate Profile for our students when they leave Whangaroa College at the end of YR13. Furthermore, we were heartened to see the great support as we introduced the concept of providing Project Based Learning opportunities for our students. This is an exciting time for our school and community and I invite you all along for the journey.
As mentioned last night, the school will create a Curriculum Review tab under the Curriculum tab on our school website. This area will store all the documentation as we work through our curriculum review together. If you have any further contributions for our curriculum review please email these to office@whc.school.nz.
As a school we are confident that with the outpouring of community support from last night we are well positioned to work together and make this happen for our students. Your ongoing support and input is valued, respected, and appreciated.
Once again thank you all very much for your positive and valued contributions.
Nga mihi nui kia koutou katoa.

Principal
